1. Identity & Scope

This platform (Deijs.eu) is the personal portfolio and digital playground of Adriaan Deijs. I operate strictly under the principle of Data Minimization: I do not collect data I do not need, and I do not keep data longer than necessary.

For the purpose of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch Uitvoeringswet Algemene verordening gegevensbescherming (UAVG), Adriaan Deijs is the Data Controller.

2. AI Assistant & Chat Logs

When you interact with the AI Assistant on this site, your conversation history is processed to provide immediate responses.

• Retention: Chat logs are strictly retained for a maximum of 6 weeks for quality assurance and context.
• Deletion: After 6 weeks, all conversation data is permanently purged from the active database.
• AI Processing: Interactions are processed via secure APIs. No personally identifiable information (PII) is manually extracted or sold to third parties.

3. Contact Forms

If you use the contact form to reach out, you may provide a name and email address.

• Usage: This data is used solely to reply to your inquiry.
• Retention: Unless an active professional relationship is established, form submission data is automatically deleted after 6 weeks.
• No Marketing: Your email is never added to a newsletter list without your explicit double-opt-in consent.

4. Analytics & Cookies

This site uses **Matomo** (formerly Piwik) for privacy-friendly analytics. Unlike Google Analytics, Matomo allows for 100% data ownership and anonymity.

• Anonymization: Your IP address is anonymized (e.g., 192.168.xxx.xxx) before being stored.
• Cookies: We use first-party cookies solely to distinguish unique sessions. You cannot be tracked across other websites.
• Opt-Out: We respect "Do Not Track" browser headers.
